Our Persian Placement Policies
Important Information
My concerns are that any cats I produce or adopt and retire, go to loving, financially stable, and responsible homes. The physical and emotional health and well-being of any cat adopted from Katsational is extremely important to me. I am responsible for these animals and I will only place in homes I feel meet this criteria.
All of my kittens and cats are Spayed / Neutered before I place them in loving homes. **When you sign a contract - you willingly agree to and are expected to adhere to its terms.
I expect my placed kittens/cats to have a permanent home with you.
Understand: raising these cats (show or pet) is extremely costly and time consuming. It is a 24/7 undertaking, dedication and sacrifice, whether show quality or pet they all receive the proper vaccinations, wormings, tests, housing and sleepless nights all of which is given with unconditional love!
There is no such thing as cheap and if that is what you are looking for.........
< < I have nothing for you > >
We reserve the right to refuse to sell to anyone at any time.
We do NOT sell to pet shops or other person(s) for resale.
Our Persian kittens do not leave our home until THEY are ready, which is generally between 12 and 20 weeks of age. At that time, the kittens will have been spayed or neutered, have age appropriate vaccinations, age appropriate wormings, and a clean bill of health from our veterinarian. To learn more about early spay/neuter programs.
Pet Quality Persian Kittens and Persian Cats
All Persian kittens placed into a home that will NOT be showing the kitten (regardless of the quality of the kitten), the kitten will be altered (spay or neutered) prior to being placed. Please review our Pet Quality Health Contract/Guarantee.
Breeder or Show Quality Persian Kittens and Cats
As part of what we believe to be a successful and responsible breeding program, if you are not actively involved in showing cats we will NOT sell you a breeder or show quality Persian kitten. We have worked for many years to establish the lines that we have and the good health in our Persian cats and kittens and we do not want the fruits of our labor to end up in some "back-yard-breeder" (BYB) program or in some home that breeds for pets only. As any ethical breeder should, "we breed for the improvement of the breed" and that we contribute to the success and good health of the Persian breed is very important to us.
If you are interested in a Breeder or Show Quality Persian kitten or cat, please contact me directly for more information.
Contract - Health Guarantee
Our Pet Quality Persian kittens are sold on a written contract with a two (2) year Health - Genetic Guarantee.
Reserving A Persian Kitten (or Cat)
We can only reserve a kitten (or cat) if a one-half (1/2) deposit is made. You are committing yourself to that kitten (or cat) with the non-refundable deposit. I am considering that kitten (or cat) reserved and this will be posted as "reserved" on the available page.
A kitten (or cat) is only designated as reserved upon our receipt of the required deposit funds. We only produce a limited number of litters each year, and this is the only way to make sure your kitten (or cat) is reserved.
Deposit Information
In order to reserve your Persian kitten (or cat), we require a non-refundable deposit of one-half (1/2) of the stated purchase price for that kitten (or cat). The balance due on the purchase price (including any shipping or delivery costs - see Shipping/Delivery) is due and payable on or before one week (7 days) prior to the kitten (or cat) leaving our home. The Contract must be read, agreed to, signed and returned to Katsational Persians prior to any kitten (or cat) being shipped.
All deposits are non-refundable unless, for some reason, we are unable to provide you with a kitten (or cat). Therefore, make sure you read, understand, and agree to the terms of our contract before reserving a kitten (or cat) and sending a deposit.
Accepted Forms of Payment
Only the following forms of payment are accepted: cash, cashiers checks, and money orders. If using money orders or cashiers checks, the funds must clear our bank before the kitten (or cat) will be released and/or shipped. You will receive written confirmation either by e-mail or United States mail of our receipt of your payment.
Shipping/Delivery Information
If you are within the state of Colorado, we prefer to have you come to our home to pick up your kitten (or cat) as we like to meet the people that we are entrusting our babies to. If you cannot come to our home, we can make arrangements to meet you, but we will charge you for the cost of gasoline.
We only ship within the continental United States. Our kittens and cats are shipped out of Denver International Airport (DIA) in Denver, Colorado. We prefer to ship Continental, but they do not fly into all airports. If Continental does not service your area, we prefer to use Northwest. The cost of shipping is approximately $250 to have a kitten shipped to you (via Continental, Northwest may be more). The shipping cost is in addition to the purchase price of a kitten. The shipping cost includes - the cost of the plane flight, crate (cat carrier), any shots that may be required by either Colorado or your state for the shipment of the kitten, veterinarian's health certificate, and a sample of the food that the kitten is currently eating. We also include a few of the kitten's favorite toys to keep it busy while traveling! This price estimate is based on a Persian kitten's weight and NOT on an older cat or teenager.
Other Useful Information
Appointments: If you have made an appointment to meet with us, please be on time. If you know you are going to be more than 15 minutes late for your appointment or can not make your appointment at all, please call us and we can reschedule your appointment.
Picking Up Your Kitten: Please bring a carrier with you to safely transport your Persian kitten. We will not allow the kitten to "roam free" inside the vehicle. This is for the safety of everyone concerned.
